Originally from Fresno, California, Staff Sergeant Joshua Harris joined The U.S. Army Field Band in 2025. He holds a Master of Music degree from the Colburn Conservatory and a Bachelor of Music degree from Michigan State University.

Prior to joining the Army, Staff Sgt. Harris was a regular member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Third Trumpet of the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, and Associate Principal Trumpet of the California Youth Symphony Orchestra. He also appeared as a substitute with ensembles such as the Richmond Symphony Orchestra, New World Symphony, Modesto Symphony, Adrian Symphony, Jackson Symphony, and the Saginaw Bay Symphony.
